10 thing to see and do within 20 miles of Beavers Retreat in summer 2019

  1. Barafundle Bay

Golden sands and crystal clear waters, it is no wonder this beach has been voted the best beach in Britain over and over again! It really is a must see!

2. Manorbier Castle

Distance from Beavers Retreat: 1.2 miles

Right on our doorstep is this absolute gem! A Norman castle which is an amazing visit and right on the coast! You can enjoy a range of refreshments from the cafe inside.

3. Manorbier beach

Distance from Beavers Retreat: 1.1 miles

A lovely beach with soft sand and rock pools - great for the kids and it’s so close to the site you can even walk there!

4. Skrinkle Bay

Personally my favourite beach in the world! Access only at low tide via a small cave in church doors cove.

5. Pembrokeshire Alpaca Trekking

Sand and rocky beach is wide and very open! It’s awesome if you are looking to surf. Cafe Amor is also based here which makes a famous crab sandwich - yum!

8. Bosherston Lily Ponds

Three flooded limestone valleys best known for their covering carpet of lilies, which are at their best in June. Enjoy the walk around the lakes along the footpath to end up at the spectacular beach that is Broadhaven South.

9. Tenby

This walled seaside town is home to four amazing award winning beaches. A fishing village, it comes alive in the summer months and is bustling with people.

10. Carew Castle

This castle is over 2000 years old and is another must see. Only 2 miles from site, there are often activities going on inside the castle, or you can take a stroll around the mill pond.
